Before Andy, I wouldn’t enjoy bringing my car to El Monte Honda for service. Andy really made my time there a good one. He was clear and quick about everything and kept me well updated on my car and how long it would be. Will definitely be setting all my appointments with Andy now.

Well, first, I was misleading on the tire rotation pricing that provided me over the phone when I called to make the service appointment. The Service Dept quoted me over the phone, $30 for car rotation. Even though., it’s higher than the other nearby Honda Dealer ( Sierra = $25 and West Covina Norm Reece = $25).
Since it is about $5 higher, but said to my self to give Nelson a try because it’s on my way to work.
Anyway, at the service write up, Gabriel handled me the write up to sign and I noticed that the tire rotation is about $40 ($39.99 to be exact). I mentioned to him that when I made the apptment, I was quoted $30. I told him that this is one of the reasons I come for service here and you should honor it because I was misleading on this.
He reply “No you don’t have to do it”. Since I’m already here and if time is allowed at the time. I would have drove away. and disappeared ASAP.
So I denied the tire rotation and proceed with the oil change only since I’m could be late to work.
2nd, I also was told that (at the time making the appointment) Nelson does honor price match as well. Due to this reason. I handed the coupon from Sierra Honda of oil change coupon (only $5 lower) , Gabriel told me that Sierra Honda coupon is not synthetic oil. I told him no, I had called and verified. Beside, the word “Synthetics” is written on the coupon. He said it is not fully synthetic (I said to my self this guy is trying to give me a hard time or what?) and he didn’t call in and verify it. I didn’t want to waiste too much time over a few dollars and didn’t want to fight over this (Even I know he is wrong). Anyway, You can verify it by going to Sierra Website.
So I got denied on both cases.
I should have take my car service to Sierra or else where I would not have to be stretched out and frustrated starting out of my Friday.
This is it for me doing business with Nelson Honda.
