Second trip for the same sound. Nobody bothered putting chassis ears on the new car that we brought in the first time. Problem became more severe (and dangerous) and was only fixed when we brought in a video of the issue. Loose tie rod end nuts should’ve been checked, at a minimum, as a safety issue when we described the problem the first time. I guess diagnostic work for an inevitable warranty repair doesn’t get the same vigilance an out-of-pocket repair. So pissed apparent laziness meant my family was in a less safe vehicle. Was the vehicle aligned after discovering the tie rod was obviously loose? If it was, it wasn’t documented.
