I already emailed all of this to John Wilson along with all the receipts. My wife brought our Honda Fit in today to replace a battery that was purchased there, on May 3rd, 2016. The service advisor, Mihn Ngo, told her it would be over 2hrs and $225 if they replaced the battery. When I arrived, they had a multi point inspection and a tire service on the sheet. We asked them to remove the extra services and inquired why it was so expensive. They said we could replace the battery ourselves and it would be $155. We then took it to the parts department after they jumped the bad battery twice. The parts department let me swap it out but would not look up my 100 month warranty to prorate the new one. He said the service department had to do it and run a battery test. I am an electrician and I know when a battery no longer holds its charge.
We swapped it out ourselves after paying full price. I would simply like a refund for the prorated cost of the battery. 56-65 Months is 40%off or $60.67 refund of the $151.67 total. Your service dept needs to do better and be much more transparent about costs and warranties. What good is a warranty on a battery if you have to pay $100 just to see if it qualifies for a replacement. Attached are all receipts of the original and new battery.
