This was the first time I was pressured by upselling tactics by the Service Dept. Was told technician recommended changing the cabin filter because it was dirty (I know that, I even informed him I would be changing it myself). But also that they recommend fuel injection service and throttle body cleaning (quote "improves gas mileage and mpg). I went to the service advisor to tell him no, I know the filter is dirty, I am going to change it myself. I inquired about the throttle body cleaning& fuel injection service, and if it was because the technician specifically saw something wrong. He said "it is needed to clean the carbon buildup). I asked again, did tech see a problem? No answer. So I said I'm unsure if I need it, I'm only at around 6300 mi, and usually throttle body cleaning would be around 30k-60k isn't it? He said they would take apart the throttle body to spray the cleaner on and it would take about another hour. I know my model is a direction injection, and it's not like I get fuel that is not "top-tier", and said I work hold off on that because if it is actually needed, I can do that myself for a fraction of the ripoff price. When I was notified my car was finally ready, it was my fault for not properly looking at the service that was performed because I was charged for the **** upselling of the "recommended fuel injection and throttle body cleaning". By the time I got home and finished changing my cabin filter, I noticed the service that was listed. I've been coming to Goudy for all my service for years, but needless to say, now I am going to look at going to other Honda dealerships for my service. Lately I've had great service from Elmo, but didn't see him there today. I do not appreciate the **** upselling tactics I experienced today. If my car needed this "cleaning", why wouldn't my Maintenance Minder tell me of this service (that is not listed in it).

Mr. Yu was attentive, efficient, thorough, professional, and so very pleasant. I especially appreciate his timely text message informing me when my car was ready. It’s apparent Mr. Yu enjoys his job at Goudy given the high level of service he provided. He’s very good with relating to the public = customer focused.
