Generally I don’t write bad reviews for any of my experiences at service requests, but this recent two experiences really left a bad taste and my impression of Honda entirely. I dropped off my car last Wednesday due to a low tire pressure alert from the vehicle and I asked if the techs could check if the tires had a nail stuck in any of the tires. Wilson was the rep I was assigned to then and I recall specifically telling him that I can’t afford to replace my tires at this time so to please check throughly. Upon picking up the vehicle, I was helped by another representative instead named, Elmo, who informed me that there weren’t any nails found and the alert must have been triggered due to the recent cool weather and expected rain. But the low pressure light came on again the next day which I figured it was the weather. I did not drive the car after and over the weekend due to the holiday and rainy weather and yesterday (Monday) my tire went flat on my way to work, and it turns out that there was a long noticeable nail found jammed in my back rear tire. I took it to the dealership again today and was told that the tire was not repairable at this point and needs to be replaced. Which I was trying to avoid in the beginning, and was why I had brought in my car previously to be properly inspected. Wilson informed me that it was hard to say if the nail was missed or not since I drove off the lot that day and didn’t come in until today. I appreciated that he waved the labor but he misquote me the first time for the repair fee. When I asked how much, he initially said that the repairs were about $226. When I asked for the breakdown, then suddenly the cost was $212 and some odd cents. This concerned me because if I hadn’t asked for the breakdown, I would have been paying more than what was actual. And when I went to pick up my car, the cashier told me to go to the advisor’s desk to pick it up instead, which is fine, that has happened before. But once again, Wilson was no where to be found, he was on lunch. Which is understandable, but what was frustrating was that no one was available to help. Everyone seem to be busy on the phone (either their desk phones or cellphone, all at the same time apparently) that or walking back and fourth but not willing to make eye contact nor offer assistance. My husband asked the front desk rep (who was holding the phone but not saying anything at the time) if we could just pay and pick up our vehicle but he dismissed us and said, “I’m actually on the phone right now so please ask one of the desk advisors.” So we waited at Wilson’s desk for a good 10-15 minutes and the staff just continued to unanimously be preoccupied with being on their phones, computer, or avoiding eye contact, so I waved at the neighboring rep that was typing away and asked if I could please just pay and collect my car. He then took my card payment from me but handed it back to my husband instead of me after processing, which slightly annoyed me. At least look me in my eyes if you’re going to take my money and give my card to my husband. That would have made me laugh a little at the very least. All in all, I never had such an unpleasant experience at this service center and with the customer service, I just wanted to pay to get my car and I’d think that this should be the easier part but somehow even that experience was a disappointment. I’d understand if someone at least acknowledged us and asked if we could wait a few minutes, I would have been happy with that but no. I felt like we were deliberately being ignored. Maybe everyone was busy listening or watching the car chase taking place on Garfield on their phones. I don’t know exactly but please just take the money that I am already reluctant to pay, give me my car, and let me go. If it wasn’t for the fact that I still have some prepaid oil changes left, I wouldn’t want to ever come back to this service center. This experience was expensive, time consuming, and embarrassing. But hey, at least when I finally got my car back, the tech that drove my car out to us was fast and he made sure to show me that the tire was switched out. Thank you kind sir whose name I don’t even know because I just wanted to leave so I can finally go back to work and make back the money to pay for this new tire I was hoping I didn’t need to buy. Oh. Thank you to who ever was willing to read this comment all the way to the end. I was very annoyed as you can probably tell. Have a nice day. Don’t fire anyone.
