I have had my crv for 3 months and the battery has died twice. The first time was when my husband was being air lifted to hospital. As you can imagine that was very stressful. The second time was last Monday. The service department replaced the battery and checked for draws. And recommended that I drive the car every 2-3 days. I told them I am about to travel on a weekly basis and leave my car at the airport Monday morning thru Friday night. They recommended I disconnect and remove the battery while the car is parked. Have to say I don’t find this either reasonable or acceptable. Where is the Honda literature does it say that this is necessary. I have owned Honda’s for 20 years without issue but if this is a new requirement for owning one then Honda will need to buy this car back. I am not standing in Ontario long term parking at 4:30 am on a Monday morning disconnecting my battery. A response would be very much appreciated.
