I don't know how the cabin air filter was checked or if there was just the offer to change it. I changed it myself after spending over an hour removing the nest from the compartment and vacuuming the mess. If the nest was noticed at the shop it should have been mentioned. If the cabin air filter was not checked by the technician, that should have been made clear.
