Very unhappy with today's visit for service. I took my vehicle, 2017 Nissan Pathfinder in for service today for diagnostics. I told the Service Advisor about the my vehicle, when at a stop, the engine would sputter and shake, a symptom that could be duplicated every time when at a stop. The Service Advisornkept in really short on the repair order and stated "client stated the car shakes and jolts when driving check and advise" clearly not a whole lot of detail to relay to the technician. First off I told him that it happens when at a stop, that there is a change in the engine behavior but no change in drive dynamics. Clearly he wasn't listening. Secondly, I am a Service Advisor for Cerritos Infiniti, if I wanted the job done right, i would of been as descriptive as I can in order to give the technician a more detailed look to see what is going on. I had other concerns that was had checked and was addressed but this was my main concern. My wife and children ride in this vehicle, last thing I want is for them to get stranded because an issue was over looked at. The service advisor followed up with me hours after in regards to my main concern that there was no issue and here is where it turned for me, I was at the light, stopped on Studebaker Road and Auto Square Center Drive when I immediately noticed that the vehicle's engine still had the same sputter. I turned around and had it checked. On the drive, I voice my concern to the service advisor and he explained that the issue was "normal VQ chatacteristics" I beg to differ at this point. I was clearly shocked about what he said, knowing that I too am a factory trained expert on this vehicle. I told him to have the vehicle checked one more time. During the time the vehicle was in service for a second look, I returned to work and found one used Nissan Pathfinders at my dealership lot, did not have the same engine behavior as my Pathfinder. Later on in the day, I decided to take some time and sit in customer's QX60's which shared the same platform as the Pathfinder and Engine (VQ35DD). None of them had the same characteristics that my engine had with the engine shaking. I even told the service advisor that this was not of transmission related concern because it still happens when in neutral and in park after being driven for a few minutes. I shared with him a techline data base concern in regards to a sputter but no other actions was taken. He then stated to me that Nissan DTS was present, I immediately called our regional DTS to only find out that he was not there. He then stated to me that there was a 2018 Nissan Pathfinder with 15,000 miles with the same behavior when at idle. I drove over there to sit in the vehicle and had it in gear, not one sputter. I even asked the service advisor if he drove my car a few miles to confirm. He clearly lied to me again because before I took it in for service, I cleared my trip meter. He clearly didn't feel the sputter which most likely could of been a fuel feed issue or ignition. Who knew but I just wanted it handled. I took the car back at this time irritated. I should of went to Peter, the Service Director to voice this concern. I've been with the brand Nissan Infiniti for 10 years and this guy gave me the run around about the DTS being there when I clearly know who our regional DTS is and come changing the story that it was the TSM. Tony all you had to do was drive the vehicle for about 5 to 10 minutes and hit a few stops and you will feel it. Clearly not a normal VQ engine behavior. I have had a few Nissan Infiniti platforms with the same engine.

I had a 7:40am appointment and ended leaving the Nissan service center at 2:30pm. That is over 6 hours for an oil change and new tires purchased and mounted. Keep in mind I had an appointment. At the same time I had to pay for a TPM sensor that was not failing, but the mechanic was having a hard time with. I purchased a set of tires, I had the right to receive the warranty information, but I was given no information. I asked the service representative about the warranty information and she said "they are kept in a centralized department, and she could not get it, but if I ever had a tire issue, just bring my vehicle back. Since when do you purchase something and not receive the warranty information. I didn't feel like making a scene because I was already exhausted if being at the dealership for a long period. This is unsatisfactory.
