There was just a misunderstanding about warranty coverage. The discussion just derailed my further intentions of asking about some other maintenance items and also to register a formal complaint with Chevrolet/GM about the horrific engineering design of the 'gas saving feature' which HAS to be unnecessary and excessive wear and tear on the engine and turbocharger just to slightly improve fuel economy.
