I brought my 2008, 460L in for a 175,000? mile service and a minor repair to the anti-skid button on my center console which was not working and was stuck in the down position. I also had the car detailed as well.
Longo kept the car for a few days and provide me wit a lian car.I picked the car up once Julian called me to say all work was completed.I drove it home and didn't drive it again till a day or two later. Once I did, I had someone start to veer into my lane while driving and when I went to use the horn, it did not work. The horn has worked for the last 11 years that I've had the car with out incident and was working when I dropped the car off. I immediately called Julian to let him know about the problem and he told me to bring the car back in when I could and he would get this taken care of. I brough the car back in a few days later and during that period between my call to Julian and me bringing the car back, my girfriend discovered that the seat warmer control on the passenger side of the center console was suddenly stuck. All buttons and controls on the center console were working perfectly when I dropped the car off, other than the anti-skid button I asked Julian to assess and fix.
My girlfriend with some difficulty, ultimately managed to get the seat warmer control button to turn and it did then work to heat her passenger seat. It now turns very stiffly an won't push down. The drivers side seat button control, turns smoothly in both directions and goes up and down, like they are supposed to but now turns off to the left of the little white dot directly in the middle of the turning radius.
When I return the car to get the horn repaired I mentioned the additional problems with the other buttons on the center console to the customer service rep who was handling Julian's customers that day, a gentleman named Edgar.
I let him know they repaired the anti-skid button issue but that the seat warmer buttons were now not working as they always had before my dropping the car off for service.
He indicated Julian didn't even include the center console repair on the work order, even though its obvious Julian talked to either the service techs or the detail guys about it since the anti-skid push button got repaired, albeit at the expense of the two seat control buttons on the center console.
If something is broken or not working when I bring my car in for service, I expect to pay for what I need. I have always done so but I don't expect to get the car back with new problems I didn't have when I dropped the car off and then be asked to pay for those additional repairs.
I bought this car and an RX350 from your dealership at the same time 11 years ago and have been bringing it to you for routine, scheduled maintenance ever since and have always received excellent service from your service department prior to this.
I also spoke to your service manager Clem Cisneros on Thursday about both the horn and the center console issues which he said he would look into if I left the car for another day or so. He did mention that the horn is now currently working but maybe going out.
Edgar called me yesterday to let me know that Clem is offering to cover 1\2 of the $650 cost to fix the two seat contol knobs.
While its a nice gesture, I fail to see why I should be expected to pay for a repair for an item that was working perfectly well, (and has for the last 11 years I've owned the car), when I dropped the car off.
I will wait to hear from you on Monday in hope that you can get this resolved for me.
