I had a terrible experience with Juan from start to finish. I had an 7 am appointment on 7/23. I was the fifth car in line and Juan told me they were backed up but they should be able to diagnose my car within two days. I wait two days and Juan said they still did not get a chance to look at my car. I waited two additional days at which time Juan calls me in the evening and tells me they just started looking at my car. Mind you I already had a mechanic look at my car and I already knew what was wrong with my car, which I had passed on to Juan. So a day or two later Juan calls me and tells me they diagnosed the issue which was the same issue I told him I suspected was wrong. Long story short, I tell Juan to go ahead with the repair Which ultimately gets done two days later. Today at 10 am Juan calls me and tells me the repairs are done but that the harness also needs to be replaced. He provided me an estimate which came out to about $900 which I thought was way too much for the job. In addition, Juan tells me that it would take another week to get the harness, so I told Juan that I would look into other options and get back to him. I call Juan 25 minutes later and tell him that I will pass on purchasing the harness and will pick up my car tomorrow. Juan proceeds to tell me that they will have to charge me extra since I changed my mind about the harness. I ask Juan what the extra charge is for and Juan tells me it’s for his tech having to put the trunk back together. I told Juan that they need to put my car back together anyways in order to give it to me at which time he realizes I’m not buying his bs and he says for me to disregard what he just said. I hang up and decide to get my car back from Juan today instead of tomorrow since he told me that his tech was going to be putting my car back together. I show up at Hardin Honda to pick up my car and Juan tells me my car isn’t ready and that I should’ve called him if I wanted it today. I told Juan that it was 5 hours after I hung up the phone with him and that he had told me his tech was putting my car back together. Juan told me that he told his tech to take his take with putting the car back together since I had told him that I was planning on coming in tomorrow. A few things really made me upset with Juan; first of all, Juan did not come through with the estimated times and he did not keep updated everyday I was without my car. I can except a delay in getting my car as things happen sometimes but this guy had the audacity to say Honda was going to charge me extra since I asked for my car back and declined the absurd secondary repair. When I called his bluff and asked him why Honda was going to upcharge me, he has the ridiculous answer that the tech now had to put my car back together. This answer is utterly ridiculous and unacceptable. And when I challenge he just tells me to disregard what he said. Unbelievable. And then when I come in early after Juan tells me that his tech is working on putting my car back together, Juan tells me that my car isn’t ready and that he told his tech to take his time on putting my car back since I told him I would be coming in tomorrow. First of all, my car should be ready to take home if Juan told me his tech was working on putting it back together 5 hours prior. Any reasonable person would believe their car would be ready to go after 5 hours of it having been repaired. In addition, even if it wasn’t Juan should’ve had his tech expedite the process for me while I waited in the lobby considering what a horrible experience I’ve had with him from the beginning. You cannot tell me that it would take more than 30 minutes to put my tailgate back together. Juan was absolutely horrible and should not be working in any customer service capacity.
