On this recent service visit I was being checked in by Mr. Lebrano, and he asked what services we were there for. I mentioned an oil change and if possible to see if the mechanics could check an extending warranty...a recall regarding a piston ring potential problem. He asked who was providing the extended warranty? I said Honda, he said, Honda doesn't have extended warranties. I said, no, extending a warranty. I was clear with what was going on, but he was not willing to let it go, trying to explain to me exactly whatan extended warranty was, which I already knew. I finally shut the conversation down. But he was not very friendly thereafter. As I was finished being checked in, he said, we'll have a diagnosis for you shortly regarding the recall notice that I had received. That was a little before nine o'clock in the morning. about 10 AMA gentleman came through and asked everybody how long they'd been there with service they were having done, and when he got to me, I explained that I'd been there for an hour for the oil change and recall diagnosis but I hadn't heard a thing since.
A few minutes before 11 o'clock, the same gentleman came around asking surprised I was still waiting. I reiterated why I was there, and that it had been 2 hours and I hadn't heard a thing. I asked him at that time exactly how long it takes to run a diagnostic on that recall to which I receive no answer. He went back to the Service area and checked,returned and told me they'd be done in about 20 minutes, Which was the case. So I'm very unhappy with this past service as to both the necessity to pay for a diagnostic, which fortunately turned out no problems. But as well the fact that I was there for 2 hours and never heard anything after being promised a quick diagnosis. Customer service... We have been bringing our cars to Breakaway/ FA Honda since we bought them in 2013 and 2014 as well as a previous Honda Civic, and Saturn View going back to 2006. Very disappointing to watch the service attitude as well as being the only one still sitting there while people who came in after I did have their service work done and gone.
