During the vehicle’s previous service, the oil filter cover was screwed on incorrectly and fell off. While refilling the oil, I found the engine air filter cover was broken off. I was told to have it looked at at my next visit. Today I asked if they looked at the broken cover and all they said was “yeah, we looked and the filter is clean.” I reminded them that the filter cover was the issue and was told “oh we don’t fix that since it isn’t ford.” They also attempted to charge me for today’s service even though they didn’t have the oil filter in stock and service was cancelled. This reminds me of the Ranger I purchased here that had torn faux leather around the E brake. I was told that the warranty guy would look at it and when he wasn’t there, I was told photos would be taken to give to them. I got the runaround until my warranty expired. I will not be doing business with Akins going forward.

When I left the business around 3pm, the person assisting told me he would be passing my information to the call center to set up a follow-up appointment to look at an oil leak on my vehicle. He told me they would call in "an hour or two." It is currently 7pm and I have yet to hear anything. Other than that, the service was great as usual.
