First of all, I wanna say that the service writer, Matthew M., was very pleasant to speak with. I don’t know who actually diagnosed my car but from what I understood Matthew M. wasn’t the service tech to perform the diagnosis. So the following comments are not about him they’re about the technician that provided bare minimum notes on why the transmission needs to be replaced. I was told that my transmission needed to be replaced for 6k because there’s metal particles in the transmission fluid and the torque converter is being affected by this. I asked if we can just replace the converter, to which they said no and didn’t offer any further explanation. The next day I called and let them know that I won’t be paying 6k for that and I would like my car towed back to me. I also asked about getting a more detailed answer as far as the diagnosis went. Respectfully, if you want to charge me 6k for a transmission then I want more info ; explain to me why the entire transmission is bad and can’t be repaired on a 2017 vehicle with 91,000 miles on it that has never had mechanical issues. Unfortunately,I never received the call back. I’ve had this car for 3 years, I bought it with cosmetic damage that I myself repaired but I’ve never had mechanical issues with this vehicle. So I don’t believe the whole transmission needs to be replaced and the fact that I was provided very little explanation as to why they want to replace the entire thing, makes me believe even more that it’s the easy way out. It’s a 2017 Ford Fusion with 91,000 miles on it, the transmission doesn’t just go bad. Today I also briefly spoke with a girl (sounded like a girl) from the service technician team, whose name I unfortunately cannot remember, she was unnecessarily rude to me just because I asked her to repeat herself because I didn’t hear what she said. I really don’t need attitude from a random girl especially because I was being polite; even though I’m frustrated and stressed. If I’m able to remain cordial and respectful even when I’m in a stressful situation I believe her to be capable of the same. I also had asked a sales rep that I’ve been in contact with for about a week if I bought a new car from y’all how much would the trade in value be. He had the appraiser go look at my car and I was told it’s worth $500. (Although this was insulting, the sales rep himself was awesome and I know he wasn’t to blame. His name was Kevin.) Why would I invest an unexplained 6k in a car that y’all believe to be essentially worthless? Y’all wouldn’t even pay 6k for the whole car and you want me to hash out that money for a half assed explanation of what the issue is? Thank you for your time. Naomi
