Bit of a weird roadblock in that the dealership wanted to charge me an extra $150 that they claimed was part of my deductible and could not explain otherwise. They even showed me a service invoice that had a different amount from the invoice they showed and signed with the insurance rep/appraiser, but couldn’t explain the difference. After my insurance appraiser called them, they dropped the charge and only charged me the proper deductible. But a person without an extra day to spare before picking up the car might have caved and paid the extra money for no reason. I’m glad I didn’t, and I hope it wasn’t an intentional money-grab; hopefully it was just an unfortunate oversight due to the large amount of work and stress that went into the repairs.
