Jim was clearly very busy, as it seemed he was the only one working directly with all the customers Saturday morning. I don’t fault Jim for my disappointment. In fact, he was very cool under pressure given all that was happening. I wish there were some colleagues available to help him out, though. If that had been the case, I feel I would have had more time to discuss the issues with my vehicle with Jim. I was quoted $612 for a major service. When I inquired about what that $612 was for, a long list of items I didn’t understand were rattled off quicker than I could process. After minimally addressing my questions, we agreed to quote me for an oil change and inspection. I’d then get a call with what was found to be needed while doing the oil change. 3 hours later I was told that the oil change was done and quoted another $500+ for a different issue. The 3 hour wait for an oil change was seemingly absurd, as I had an appointment. Furthermore, when I tried to ask questions and understand why I was being quoted $1000+ after all was said and done, Jim just decided to add some notes to my account stating (very minimally) what needs to be done and citing that I declined service. Never did I decline service. I tried to understand why I was asked to spend $1000+. I believe it’s fair to break the service down and allow me to understand what is happening should I spend that amount of money. Unfortunately, though, I did not get that chance. Jim made some notes, let me pay for my oil change and sent me on my way to move me out of the way. Again, he was swamped. I noticed his interactions with other customers, and it’s clear he excels in customer service. It seems to me that he was put in a position that did not allow for the level of service I needed. My frustration lies with Honda. I’ll go to a smaller shop that has time to speak to me and not brush me aside.

I really appreciated the service and of course I will stay with you. But you were so Swapped that it took about and hour and a half longer than I anticipated to get the job done. But I am glad you guys are getting a lot if business.

I was pressured over the phone to purchase services I didn’t really need which ended costing me over four times what I went in to get and additionally, when I came in to pay for the service, the cost was higher than what I was told over the phone. I understand the incentive to upsell people on things they don’t need in order to make more money and hit your service goals for the month. However, you will make more money in the long run if you are honest and genuine with your clients because they will keep coming back. So while you made $200 extra from me today, I will not be coming back to service providers who are dishonest

I have a master’s degree in Biochemistry so I’m quite well aware I could Groupon/Coupon/whatever to a cheaper cost instead of the dealership. I first met Bonnie in 2015 and she’s the reason I keep returning to your service department. She’s honest, helpful, friendly. She never makes me feel uninformed about the workings of the inner combustible engine. She’s truly an asset to your company and should be recognised accordingly.
