I brought the car in for a broken cable on the transmission. Mark said they would look into it. Then called that there were other issues and needed to pay additional to do a deeper diagnosis which I eventually agreed to. The results came back with sensor errors (one was the one that needed to be replaced and a secondary sensor. Told that the rod inside transmission was loose and the transmission needed to be replaced. I asked if the cable was repaired and he stated yes and then said” The sensors are not the problem, the sensors are transmitting the information from the transmission itself and because the transmission is damaged the lights will not clear out of the system memory until it is replaced”. We decided not to repair the car and had it towed home. After looking at the paperwork I received there is no mention that the cable to the sensor was repaired. If it was not then of course there would be an error. I am not satisfied that the cable was repaired which is the main issue I was asking to have done when they car was brought in. I am a 30 year customer of the service at metro Honda and have always found you business reliable. But this time I have my doubts that the repair I was requesting was actually completed and the diagnosis given is correct. The car still may be drivable with the loose rod for a period of time. Can someone verify if the damaged sensor cable was replaced? No parts were return to me. Thanks.
