I made an appointment yesterday for a simple brake check for 830a today. I had my brakes completely replaced back in April/May 2020 and they started making noise approx a week or 2 ago. Anyway, I made an appointment yesterday for 830a. I normally get in and out between an hr and 1.5hrs. Today... I waited till around 120p-130p for the completion of my car. Usually, the service is fantastic, quick, and friendly and thats why I continue to come back as a customer. But, if I could give any feedback/suggestions about my experience today.. It would be better communication. Since, i'm waiting for my vehicle and its taking a lot longer than expected, why not tell me tyat its going to be longer than a few hours? The only time I was told anything was atound 10 or 11 when I heard that my caliber? Needed to be replaced. I didn't think i would be there for another few hours. I could've hung out with friends, went to the mall.. I could've used my time differently if I recieved better communication. The only thing that eased my growing frustrations.. Was the girl that was taking care of me. She gave me a couple slices of pizza around 12.. I was absolutely starving. At that point I had eaten an ungodly amount of chocolate chip cookies because I didnt eat breakfast. I came today ubder the assumption that I would be able tk eat breakfast.. at home.. at max.. 1030a.. Anyway, I was very appreciative of her gesture and attitude. Just to clarify, I was informed upon my arrival that you guys were short staffed... I understood.. I just.. wish it went a little faster. I know there isn't anything that can be done about the inconvenience I went through today. I appreciate the customer service of Matt Blatt and todays experience will not deter me from being a future customer. BUT, I'll take a 1k+ credit towards a new 23 Kia if the Sales department offers it lol I know what my car is worth and it could be a great downpayment on a new Optima. Just food for thought lol. I had my vehicle serviced for a warranty clock spring replacement. Upon picking up my vehicle i noticed the steering wheel was off to the right by 45 degrees. I attempted to take it back and was told it had nothing to do with the clock spring replacement and i had to pay a diagnostic fee. Furthermore I’ve attempted to make an appointment and this is the second time my appointment was not written down on your end Making me show up just to be turned away. I had to take my vehicle to an out side repair to get the issue resolved. Thats when i came to find out the reason The steering wheel was so far off center was due to the incompetence of your repair technician. The steering wheel can go back on in multiple positions. So when the original repair was completed the technician failed to mark the original position of the steering wheel and threw everything back on and released the vehicle back to me in this unsafe condition. I am overall really disgusted with the repair and service. I will be contacting the service manager.
