My oil leak was misdiagnosed. The original invoice also never said they were checking for oil leaks even though I specifically asked for it. The original invoice total was $4700 and this included a 'new' valve/head cover gasket. Today after I brought it in for a checkup, the service tech said I now have a VTEC solenoid leak and timing cover leak. I drove off the lot with two oil leaks, and this is a safety and environmental hazard. I cannot drive my car for work right now, therefore I am losing income. I gave them the car, told the head cover was the only leak. PLEASE understand that I have been working on my own cars for 10+ years now and I know what to look for. In August, I replaced the original head cover gasket, I hooked up an Autel device and ran ecu tests. The vtec solenoid never engaged, checked it and was leaking. I find this all rather disheartening, and want to trust Priority Honda Hampton with my business. I would really appreciate some help with fixing these oil leaks that weren't caught the first time and letting drive with a vehicle unfit for the road according to Virginia Traffic Law, particularly pertaining to State Inspections. I had '3' oil leaks when I went in the first time, and only got 1 fixed that I didn't even need. Thank you and have a wonderful day!
