My battery was changed out approx 13 months ago at no charge to fix the issue of the control panels going out. Now the same issue has come up again and I have to pay $287 for another battery. I was told by a male at Honda service that Honda is aware of this issue and it happens on numerous other models. A new battery every year is not the correct answer or fix for this issue. This is also a safety hazard for my family. This 2016 pilot has been the worse Honda I've owned (I've had 7 different Honda's).

I received the paperwork after my service and it stated that my battery was “green.” So I didn’t think twice about it, until yesterday when my car would not turn on. We opened my hood to find a swollen, completely corroded battery. The battery was covered in battery acid and looked horrible. There is no way it was “good” when I came in on the 11th. I am completely disappointed in the service team at Honda Corona. They should have informed me of this issue and suggested I get a new battery. This could have caused a very serious and dangerous situation.
