Dropped off the Vehicle and I clearly said I needed it back by Nov 2nd. I was assured that I would. I just got it back today (Nov 16th). As we got closer to Nov 2nd I reached out multiple times via text with no response. Gene told me it was because of technical issues. That he had 42 other text messages he didn’t get. I had a someone using the Vehicle for a wedding trip from Alaska. This was cancelled and instead of a Corvette they ended up in a Corolla from Enterprise.
I had a GPS scheduled for install Monday and reached out to see if the GPS install could be done in the front lot if it was not torn down. Gene was incredibly condescending towards me asking why I thought someone who wasn’t from GM could do work on my Vehicle. After being fed up with dealing with this I admittedly lashed out at Gene. Not cursing at him or berating him, asking how he thought after all the poor expectation management he had done, he thought he could speak to me that way.
I manage 3000+ vehicles and work with accounts that purchase roughly 30-50 vehicles per month. I also work with a large handful of dealers and shop owners. The head unit was $200-300 used and the grommets were less than $20. Inspection and lift time for headunit replacement and grommets are 3 hours max. Putting the max cost of this at $600 tops and a 3 day turn around. I paid almost $3000
The Vehicle was supposed to be detailed and had gunk spilled on the passenger side door. It was rolled through the wash. Interior had dust all over the center console.
There’s not a single person I work with that will not hear about this. I understand the market is good for dealers now, however I will make sure none of my accounts, friends, family or their accounts go through your dealership again. This is the single worst experience I have had in this industry and I go through more purchases and repairs in a week than most people do in their life.
