I don’t believe my truck was taken out on a test drive to have the problem checked out. What I stated what was wrong was not was what put down on the invoice. Maybe a misunderstanding? But I don’t feel my truck was truly checked.

I came in for a scheduled oil change and also a question on my transmission, you see I had another Toyota do a drain and fill as I was experiencing rougher shifts, well the drain and fill didn’t help. I told my service advisor that, since I had this drain and fill done in March or this year, if they could simply check to see if the transmission fluid was full. He said that he’d have to do a diagnostic on the transmission, which would run about 139.00, he said if they didn’t find anything I wouldn’t be charged and if they did find something, the money would go towards fixing the problem. I asked if they could reset the tcm and ecu, he said yes. 4 hours later he said I’m ready to go, that they found no issues and the transmission fluid was fine. However I was shocked my bill was 200 dollars. He said that if the issue still is there, that they wouldn’t charge me and I could go for a ride along with a tech, I don’t understand why this wasn’t available to me during this visit. I told him I am just passing through as I live 2 1/2 hours Away and it’s pointless to drive all the way back to look into this issue again because they already looked at it! I’m really disappointed and just want my 139 refunded to me, since there was no issue and the money didn’t go towards fixing anything.

When he checked again, he was able to experience the issue that I had experienced. I really appreciate that he was willing to check again.
