Predicting human behavior may not be an exact science, but BASF, a German chemical manufacturer and competitor to industry leader PPG has spent a lot of time and money to determine what the hot color choice for vehicles will be for the next several years. Their picks for the future include such colors as "Atomium Sky".

Since color choices are typically slated two to three years before they hit the market, it's vitally important that manufacturers get accurate data to make the most informed decisions. 

For example, in 2022 the color pick of choice will be Atomium Sky, according to BASF. Atomium Sky is a deep blue hue that seems strangely familiar.

The data collected to come to this decision took into account some interesting factors. One of particular interest is the correlation between Automium Sky's tonal hue and the light emitted by handheld smart devices such as most commercial phones. 

Next time you go shopping for a new car, take a moment to look around to see what that year's color selections are. Manufacturer's dealerships such as Ferrari Of Washington in Sterling, VA have spent a small fortune to make predictions as to what you'll like!
