When dropping off my car in the morning, I made sure to clearly explain I needed both an oil change and a transmission check for a potential leak. I say this because when I was told my car was ready, I arrived and they did not know I wanted an oil change. I definitely should have double checked the receipt before leaving my car, but I didn’t think to because I repeated my need for an oil change multiple times in the conversation, and it felt very clear that she understood that. I understand miscommunications happen, but truly I don’t understand how that happened given how clear I was. She then said no problem since I still needed it done that day, and the oil change can be done in 15 minutes and to wait in the waiting area. I was waiting for over 1.5 - almost 2 - hours. I felt very frustrated and miserable because she didn’t give me any update. About 40 minutes in, my car was parked near her desk, so I went up to ask if perhaps I was called but my phone was dead so I didn’t get the call. She then informs me they’re barely about to take my car for the oil change. Genuinely I just felt miserable because she said my car would be worked on immediately and would take 15 minutes and never updated me on the time frame. I would’ve gone home and came back if I had known it was going to take so long. I’m not angry, the experience just felt extremely stressful on my end and I tried to hold in my emotions because even though my emotions were valid, I did not want to seem like a rude customer. I really do wish I could’ve been given an update on time. I don’t think this would happen again, so I’d still go back to goudy honda for my next oil change, but this was a really tiring experience.
