Jon was prompt. He explained that the service would take approximately 1-1/2 hours and asked if I wanted to wait or come back later and that I could have a ride if I didn’t want to wait. When the car was ready he explained the maintenance check and what items should be addressed immediately or soon but did not push to have it done unless I considered first. He provided the cost of the suggested maintenance and was friendly and courteous the whole time.

Despite our advisor being Rob, we never had any communication with him whatsoever. Joe was the initial person I spoke with upon dropping the vehicle off, and the only one I spoke to on the phone. My husband and I were incredibly disappointed in the lack of communication about the status of the repair. Our prior vehicle was purchased from Surprise Kia, and they went above and beyond in making sure that we were kept up to speed with what was going on. We were told it was a 3 hour repair, which we planned for, and after 4 hours we began calling. My husband tried calling 3 times, and couldn’t get connected to anyone. Finally, after 4 1/2 hours, I began calling and was quite upset by that point. Not only could we not get ahold of anyone, but we shouldn’t have been in that position in the first place! My husband and I are very understanding people, and had we been contacted after 3 hours, saying it was taking longer than expected, there was a delay, etc we would have appreciated the update. The only update we ever received only occurred because I was completely and obviously annoyed when I finally spoke with someone in management. We are deeply disappointed in our experience this last Saturday, and are really hoping this isn’t a regular occurrence. We have owned our Odyssey for a little over a year, and have never owned a Honda before this vehicle. While we absolutely LOVE our van, we are less than impressed with how this recall was handled and hope this was not the norm of what we can expect from this dealership. If that’s the case, you can bet we will be returning our business to our previous dealership.
