*Pre-Vacation Service Disappointment* On May 7th, 2024, I brought my 2021 white Honda Pilot EXL with 32,869 miles to Asheboro Honda in North Carolina for pre-trip maintenance before an extended vacation. The primary concern was the inaccurate "Range" display, which estimates the remaining distance the vehicle can travel based on previous driving and fuel economy. Typically, with a full tank, the range displayed between 415-435 miles for my Pilot. However, it was stuck at 383 miles, which seemed to indicate a larger underlying issue. As retirees in our 70s, my wife and I had planned this six-week getaway to the Outer Banks and Niagara Falls as a lengthy retreat. With an 18-hour drive ahead, I took the Pilot in at 11:40 AM for servicing. Although the service advisor, Andrew Chaney, stated the work was complete, I later discovered the technician had improperly addressed the dashboard display and instrument cluster, leaving the SiriusM Radio in an unresolved setup state. *Heated Confrontation and Brand Dissatisfaction* This oversight led to a heated confrontation where I expressed my dissatisfaction to Andrew and declared my intent to switch to Toyota, a brand I felt I should have chosen initially. The substandard service left me deeply unsatisfied. Consequently, I strongly caution against utilizing Asheboro Honda due to the disappointing experience encountered during this visit.

My check engine light came on and I came to the Honda shop to see specifically what was going on with my car and asked for a detailed diagnostics. I set and waited for two hours just for them to tell me that I had codes for my check engine light. Not only did they not tell me what the codes were, but I did not get a detailed diagnostics as requested. my time was completely wasted. Seemingly all the mechanic did was run my car through the machine. I had already done that.
