The service writer told me to replace my intake manifolds on both banks before trying the vacuum hose tied to a TSB with the code pulled (my code was for only one bank). I provided that TSB number in the appointment request. I described the secodary symptoms I was experiencing and he dismissed my knowledge of the situation. I told him I would pay for the vacuum hose installation only and he quoted me 2.5 hours labor when the TSB shows 40 TU. He then told me he received that time estimate from the mechanic? I spoke to the service manager ho understood the situation and the vacuum hose was installed as requested. The car is fine now. I will grant you that he and I didn't start out well but that doesn't account for being sold significant and unnecessary repairs and then trying to charge ridiculous hours for a simple service when the customer said no. Feel free to contact me should you need further discussion. This was an interesting experience to say the least.
