When I first got to the Dealership and I was greeted by Charlie and we went in the building to start the paperwork, I told him that I had a 10% coupon off a brake service. He did not honor my discount. I don’t know if it accidentally slipped his mind, or if he deliberately forgot, either way it is unacceptable. I also waited for hours only to be told that my brake rotors had heat spots on them and I needed new ones. I asked Charlie what do you mean? How could something like this happen? He explained that it’s the way that I drive that caused the issue. We had a long conversation about it and I was very disturbed because I only came there to get an oil change and to get my brakes looked at due to a noise I was experiencing. But when he told me I needed new rotors I was confused. He mentioned that my brakes pads are still good and I had 60% of use to them. So if I didn’t want to get new rotors I could continue to drive my car with the noise that I’m experiencing , until the brakes pads where out and then come back. I even asked him if they could sand them down and he said that would not work and that it would not take the heat spots away. I even called my mother and she spoke to Charlie and he told her the same thing very confidently. I told Charlie that’s fine just leaves the brakes and rotors as is and just give me and oil change. Then Charlie comes back to me and tells me I need another oil and air filter. I said okay. About another hour later he comes back and saids to me I’m sorry about this but everything I told you about your car is not right because the tags on the car was switched and I gave you the wrong info about your car. He said everything he told me was about another Rogue. I could not believe I waited all that time, and got handed the wrong info about my vehicle. I also had to swallow and digest that I would have to live with that horrible, squeaking, loud, embarrassing noise that could not be fixed. So Charlie said because of that he would give me a rental so that I could leave. But I had my daughter picked me up cause I didn’t want to wait any longer. Charlie also said he would give me a free oil change. I asked him about the engine and air filter he said I needed and he said that my car didn’t need that and that was the misinformation that was given to me about the other Rogue. So finally I come to pick my car up and the total was $706.00 dollars with no 10% discount that I needed and that I specifically told Charlie that I had. Charlie also failed to mention that $350.00 brake quote was for the front brakes and the back brakes. Therefore, making the total over $700.00. To my understanding in my mind the front and back brakes were a total of $350.00 which is the normal amount I usually pay for brakes. To be honest and to make a long story short, I’m very, very, very disappointed, disgusted, and displeased with Downey Nissan and the service I received. I don’t believe I will return again for service!! It’s too expensive since it was so much confusion I can’t trust that I will be treated with integrity. Thank you
