I had an appointment at 12:20 pm on Saturday December 10, to have four tires put onto my CRV. I arrived on time and checked in. At 12:40 pm a young man came and took the details of my car and we went into the Honda reception. I told the young man that I had spoken to a young lady in the parts department the day before and had been given two prices for my tires. That day I then spoke to a man in the service department who said the tires were in stock and to come in the following day to have them fitted. I was quoted $187 for three tires and $1 for the fourth, and $181 for three tires and $1 for the fourth. I was told that there would be a charge of $125 to fit the tires. I chose the $181 and was told they were in stock and I would be charged $726. The person who was dealing with me on the day of the appointment doubted the prices I had been quoted and called the service department, and was told that the tires were in stock, but he still didn’t seem convinced. At this point, it was getting closer to 1:00 pm and he then told me that my car wouldn’t be even taken for another hour and a half, possibly longer, and that my car wouldn’t be ready until at least 4:00 pm that day!!! I found this absolutely unacceptable as I’d been given an appointment for 12:20!! At this point I told him that I couldn’t wait for another three hours as I had an appointment in Temecula that afternoon. I have always come to Honda for my oil changes etc, but this time delay was unacceptable. Why give someone a time to arrive when it doesn’t mean a thing. How about respecting a customer’s time and honoring a given appointment time? Needless to say I left without getting my tires changed, very disappointed at wasting a couple of hours with no result. It’s hard to believe that the dealership is so blasé regarding a customer’s time as you do tend to feel that coming to the dealership is of a much higher quality and service. I won’t be coming back unless it’s a recall for my car.
