Mike does a Great Job, I have used him for years, 5 different vehicles. One area City Chevrolet has to improve on is the phone receptionist, and the difficulty in getting to your Service Coordinator. You have to go thru 2-3 connections to get to Mike, they drop calls, ask stupid questions- and waste your time. It is really getting annoying, and it’s lousy service.

I received NO calls updating me on the status of my vehicle, after I stated when I dropped it off that I needed to arrange my ride to come back and pick it up. It ended up needing to be left on Saturday (after I called in to see what the status was) and again on Monday, I received NO call telling me that it was done and ready to pick up - until I again called in to see what was up in late afternoon. Quality of work completed : fine!

My comment is slightly clouded by my previous experiences, but before I purchased my suburban 3 months ago I had a Mazda CX-7 and took it for service at John Hine Mazda (In mission valley). They were always SO son top of things... calling to give me updates, offering a courtesy vehicle, they had a lovely lounge with child playing area... My service at City Chevrolet was “fine” but the level of follow through, explanation about what was happening with the vehicle and the amenities when waiting (especially with children) leaves a lot to be desired... I may be on the hunt for a different Chevy service provider sadly...

James made sure that all my needs were addressed including arranging for a rental car to insure I could pick up my son from school, and allowing for me to lock my bike in site while my vehicle was being worked on. James was knowledgeable, organized and very professional in completing his duties and helping me.

I have been a client of City Chevrolet over the past 3 years and never have I had such a negative experience. I took my car in for a routine oil change as well as to troubleshoot the car’s AC. It took 3 full days for the dealership to assess the issue without compensation of a rental car. I was also never properly updated on my vehicle at any point in the process. I had to call in myself multiple times just to wait for a callback. In addition to all of this after my oil was changed Monday , I was notified of an oil pan leak on Tuesday and the need to keep the car again for another night. I was told my car would be ready first thing Wednesday morning and once again my car wasn’t ready until late that evening. I was also quoted $1300 for an AC compressor when the part itself only costs $300. I understand a labor cost applies, but a $1000 markup seems a little much. I did let them know I was traveling across country so I feel that information was definitely taken advantage of. My father is a mechanic so I know this is an extreme markup. Overall communication was poor and customer service was negligent.

Well, I have been going there for about 17 yrs, One full size Chevy truck and a 2013 Chevy Cruze, Anyway, I had an appointment at 1pm yesterday and I didn’t think I would be there more than an hour, I was asked if I wanted the car washed And I accepted but then realized that I had to pick up my daughter at School and then I asked how much longer and I was told another 30 min. So I had to say never mind. On top of that, I was quoted for something that was totally rediculous , a battery a cable and new light , $900 + I took it to a mechanic/friend of mine and replaced it for me. The cable was not necessary and neither is the light. I don’t know if they work off of commission or what, but this saddens me. Especially knowing that my wife is interested in another car. I have the extended warranty and unfortunately the left blinker light cover exploded isn’t covered, the light works fine it’s just the orange cover so it’s not that important, especially cause the light bulb is orange to begin with. Any way that’s how it went and how I feel. Mike has been my service writer for a while and has been real nice but, I’m surprised about this. Leslie Parada
